Comments:  Examples of Variety 61 are well struck and continue into later die states with no die cracking or breakage.  The finest examples known to this author are a MS66BN and MS66RB.

Variety 61 was first identified by Paul Nomes, who submitted the above plate coin during late June 2021 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 60.
