Reverse AB Die Crack Mapping

Die Crack from 3:15 to 4:45

Die Crack from 8:30

Obverse 27 is identified by repunching to the north on the 1, with date placement at LH.

Reverse AB is rotated 8 degrees clockwise and develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 3:15 down through the wreath and exiting at 4:45 at the denticles.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 8:30 down through the wreath and into the bottom olive leaf.

Comments:  Though the repunching of obverse 27 is minor, locating examples of variety 27 may be made easier by utilizing the fact there is a low denticle below the 1 digit of the date and the reverse AB die crack progressions.

Plate coin:  Richard Ashton, MS63RB
