Reverse AX Die Crack Mapping


Obverse 51 is identified by date placement at LH and date repunching that features an initial date impression to the north within the upper loop of the 9.  Obverse 51 has developed heavy die flow lines.

Reverse AX is in a similar die state as Obverse 51, with the advancement of heavy die flow lines.  Reverse AX develops the following die crack:
1.  Die crack from the rim at 6:15 upward through the left wreath to the rim at 8:45.

Comments:   Variety 52 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during late July 2018 for inclusion in this book based on the date repunching of Obverse 51.
