Die Flow Lines

Obverse 13 is identified by repunching to the south on the 18 and repunching to the north on the 89, with date placement at RE.  Obvere 13 has developed heavy die flow lines and the following die crack:
1.  Radial die crack from the first T of STATES downward through the field to the chin of Miss Liberty.

Reverse M is in a similar die state as obverse 13, with the development of heavy die flow lines.  Reverse M develops the following die cracks:
1.  Light Die crack from the right side of the shield to the denticles at 12:45.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 3:30 down through the wreath to the rim at 5:00.
3.  Light die crack from the denticles at 10:30 to the left side of the shield.
4.  Light die crack from the rim at 11:30 into the top of the shield.

Comments:   With the exception of the heavier die crack from 3:30 to 5:00, the lighter die cracks of variety 11 are difficult to discern due to the heavy die flow lines.

In regards to the obverse 13 repunching, the ball of the 9 also exhibits strong repunching.  However, this repunching artifact will fade due to the advancement of the heavy die flow lines as evidenced by the above plate coin.

Plate coin:  Craig McClain Collection, PCGS MS65BN
