Proofs:  700

Comments:  1875 mintage is similar to that of the previous year.  Collectors should carefully review the grades of 1875 cents offered for sale.  Many examples that should grade choice VF are market graded to XF. In addition,  always evaluate the amount of remaining luster for 1875 cents grading AU.  I have seen many 1875 cents graded AU50 or bettter that are actually only XF.
