Type II Reverse F Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 7 is observed with date placement at RE.

Type II Reverse F has acquired clash marks above (O)NE, through (C)ENT and to the right of the denomination.  Type II Reverse F has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Moderately heavy die crack from the rim at 5:00 extends upward through the outer edge of the right wreath and exits into the denticles at 2:30.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 8:45 extends downward through the bottom oak leaf and olive leaves.  A second die crack splits from this die crack at the lowest oak leaf and extends upward through the left wreath.

Comments:  1871 Type II Reverse Variety 4 was first identified by David Killough, who submitted the above plate coin during mid May 2021 for inclusion in this book based on the die cracking of Type II Reverse F.
