Obverse 26 is identified by repunching to the southwest on the 86 and repunching to the north on the 4, with date placement at RE.  Obverse 26 was impressed with a defective digit punch, which appears to be repunching but is actually artifacts from the digit punch matrix.  Obverse 26 exhibits clash marks between feathers 7, 8 and 9.

Reverse AY is rotated 15 degrees clockwise.  Reverse AY has developed clash marks above the O of ONE and to the right of the denomination.

Comments:  Variety 18 was first identifed by this author during late June 2015.  The date repunching is very similar to the repunching of obverse 10 of the 1864 Bronze variety 2 die pairing, with the same defective digit punch being utilized.

Plate coin:  D. Poliquin Collection, NGC AU58
