Reverse AAR Die Crack Mapping


Obverse 66 is observed with date placement at RE and broken TES of STATES.  Obverse 66 develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack connects the tops of ITE of UNITED.
2.  Die crack from 10:45 to the first T of STATES.

Reverse AAR is rotated 9 degrees clockwise and develops a retained cud between 9:30 and 11:00.  Reverse AAR develops the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack from the denticles at 12:30 into the top right side of the shield.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 1:30 downward through the right wreath to the rim at 3:30.
3.  Die crack from the rim at 3:30 through the middle arrowhead and shaft to the ribbon.

Comments:  Variety 68 was first identified by this author during late December 2017.
