Reverse S Die Crack Mapping

Obverse 17 is identified by date placement at RE and date repunching that features initial date impressions to the north within the lower loops of the 8, 6 and 3 digits of the date.  Obverse 17 is observed with die file marks to the left of the ear.  Obverse 17 has developed rim breakage between 11:30 and 3:00.

Reverse S is rotated 10 degrees clockwise and is observed with artifacts within the vertical shield bars.  Reverse S has developed the following die cracks:
1.  Die crack segment from the middle arrowhead that extends upward through the outer oak leaves above.
2.  Die crack from the rim at 11:30 extends downward into the top left of the shield.

Comments:  The Obverse 17 initial date impression within the lower loop of the 3, which was previously unidentified prior to publication in this book, was first identified by David Killough.
